UEFA Women's EURO 2017 kicks off Sunday in The Netherlands

(July 15, 2017) - The UEFA Women’s EURO 2017 kicks off this weekend, July 16 in the Netherlands, and two Breakers will be representing their countries, Emilie Haavi (Norway) and Amanda Da Costa (Portugal).

(July 15, 2017) - The UEFA Women’s EURO 2017 kicks off this weekend, July 16 in the Netherlands, and two Breakers will be representing their countries, Emilie Haavi (Norway) and Amanda Da Costa (Portugal).

Leading up to EURO 2017, Haavi has played in eight qualifying matches with a total of 536 minutes and scoring two goals for Norway and Da Costa has played in six qualifying matches with a total of 365 minutes.

This year, the UEFA Women’s EURO consists of 16 teams and 31 matches. The 16 teams have been put into four groups - Norway in Group A and Portugal in Group D. Norway’s first game will be on Sunday, July 16 against Netherlands at 12 p.m. ET. Portugal takes the field on Wednesday, July 19 against Spain at 12 p.m. ET.

For Breakers fans wanting to watch Haavi and Da Costa, all matches through the semifinals will be on ESPN3.
