The Breakdown - a look back at the week in Breakers news

(Oct. 21, 2016) – Welcome to the return of The Breakdown, where we look back at the week in Breakers news.

The Breakers announced Wednesday that they’ve exercised the options on 13 players. That group includes goalkeepers Libby Stout and Abby Smith, defenders Kassey Kallman, Brooke Elby, Christen Westphal, and Kylie Strom, midfielders Kristie Mewis, Angela Salem, Louise Schillgard, and forwards Natasha Dowie, Kyah Simon, Brittany Ratcliffe, and Elise Krieghoff. There were other moves as well, which you can read more about at http://www.bostonbreakerssoccer.com/NEWS/926712.html.

The week began with the announcement that forwards Kyah Simon and Natasha Dowie are heading overseas, going on loan to clubs in the Westfield W-League. Simon will join Sydney FC, while Dowie links up again with Melbourne Victory, where her stats there a year ago match up with the numbers she posted in Boston this season. Read all about the loan here: http://www.bostonbreakerssoccer.com/NEWS/926674.html.
