Osborne had her No. 12 jersey retired and was inducted into the Boston Breakers Pillars of Excellence, joining an elite group that includes Maren Meinert, Angela Hucles, and Kristine Lilly

Osborne’s Pillars of Excellence banner was unveiled at halftime of the Breakers vs. Sky Blue FC match. Breakers defender Cat Whitehill spoke highly of Osborne before handing over the microphone to the former three-year Breakers captain (2010-2012).

“She made a major impact here in Boston. She created this team to be one of the best,” Whitehill said. “I’m very proud of her. She’s an amazing human being. She’s one of the people who will touch your lives forever and ever.”

Osborne then addressed the crowd at Soldiers Field Soccer Stadium.

“I had an incredible three years here in Boston. You welcomed me into your family," Osborne said. "I want to thank all the amazing staff, all the owners from 2010 on, and our fans, you guys rock. I’m so honored to be part of (the Pillars of Excellence) with Maren, Kristine Lilly, and Angela Hucles, who are all my role models and good friends. I am honored.”
