(Oct. 25, 2017) - The Boston Breakers announced today that they have re-signed forward Tiffany Weimer for the 2018 season. Per team and league policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
“Tiff brings great experience to the team. She is a very intelligent soccer player, and I'm delighted she has extended her stay in Boston,” Boston Breakers head coach Matt Beard said.
Weimer, 33, appeared in 17 games for the Breakers in 2017, logging 804 minutes. She tallied one assist. It came on Sept. 30 in a 4-3 loss at home to Sky Blue FC. Weimer assisted on Natasha Dowie’s second goal of the game.
“I am thankful to the Breakers for bringing me back for 2018,” Weimer said. “I’m excited to continue being a part of building this program and making the playoffs next year.”
Prior to joining the Breakers on Feb. 9, 2017, Weimer played in 2016 for Kvarnsveden in Sweden's Damallsvenskan. The former Penn State star previously played for Washington and Portland in the NWSL.
