A majority of the players who will put on the 2012 Boston Breakers jersey arrived in town earlier this week, and less than 24 hours after their first training session, they took on Boston College in an exhibition match. The game, a 3-1 Boston Breakers win, featured the debut of several first-year Breakers, including Olympic gold medalist and former U.S. Women’s National Team defender Cat Whitehill and current U.S. Women’s National Team midfielder Heather O’Reilly, who scored a goal.

"It was great to get the players into a game environment. I was pleased overall with the effort and am looking forward to coaching this group and season ahead."
Katie Schoepfer scored one goal for the Breakers on Wednesday, while Leslie Osborne launches a free kick.
