(June 1, 2017) – Norway Women’s National Team head coach Martin Sjøgren has named 22 players, including Boston Breakers forward Emilie Haavi, for an upcoming friendly against the United States.
Norway will face the U.S. Women’s National Team on Sunday, June 11, at Komplett Arena in Sandefjord, Norway. The game against the U.S. will mark the 50th meeting between the two teams.
Capped 59 times for Norway, Haavi has scored 15 goals for her country. With the Breakers, Haavi recently made her National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) debut, starting in a 2-0 loss at Portland on Saturday, May 27, on the road.
Haavi, who suffered a broken jaw during preseason with the Breakers, played all 90 minutes in her NWSL debut last weekend.
The Breakers play at Orlando (June 3) and at North Carolina (June 17) before returning home Saturday, June 24, at 4 p.m. ET to face North Carolina at Jordan Field.
