(Oct. 19, 2016) - The Boston Breakers today announced that the team has exercised the 2017 contract options on 13 players.
Players whose options were exercised for the 2017 season include: goalkeepers Libby Stout and Abby Smith, defenders Kassey Kallman, Brooke Elby, Christen Westphal, and Kylie Strom, midfielders Kristie Mewis, Angela Salem, Louise Schillgard, and forwards Natasha Dowie, Kyah Simon, Brittany Ratcliffe, and Elise Krieghoff.
The Breakers declined the 2017 contract options on goalkeeper Jami Kranich, defender Rachel Wood, midfielders Katie Schoepfer, Sinead Farrelly, and Ghoutia Karchouni, and forward Eunice Beckmann.
Defender Julie King and midfielder Stephanie Verdoia are out of contract and have been extended new contract offers. In addition, the Breakers are in discussions with defender Whitney Engen.
